Jim has started working on a series of flowers that are, what most people would consider, past prime. However, this is a period in which they become some of their most beautiful when seen on a large scale. Virtually all of the flower pictures are done with a technique called stack focusing to overcome the very short depth-of-field that is encountered in closeup work. Take a look here.
